London's "Arsenal" star Alexis Sanchez criticized fans' demonstrations calling for their manager Arsene Wenger to step down from his position.
The Chilean is arguably the only "gunner" player showing good performance this season, contributing to the team's results with 28 goals and 19 assists.
However, "Arsenal" is having an unusually unsuccessful year - with just one "Premier League" round to go, the North London club is only in fifth place and for the first time in Wenger's entire career, they may fall out of the top four.
"In my eyes, that (fans' demonstrations - ed. note) is very wrong," Sanchez told The Mirror. "He is a coach who gave the club a stadium, won trophies, and worked in this job for 21 years. He is the creator of the stadium, players, and club style."
However, the forward refused to reveal more details on another topic of interest - whether he himself intends to stay in the "Arsenal" ranks.
"I can't say it now," added Sanchez. "We have to wait until the end of the season. Like I always say, it's not up to me. It depends on the club - on what they like and what they don't like."
Indeed, this season may not be as catastrophic for the "gunners" even if they don't make it to the UEFA Champions League, as on May 27 they still have the FA Cup final against London's "Chelsea" to look forward to.
