Former German national team midfielder Andre Schurrle has announced a somewhat unexpected decision. The 29-year-old German has decided to end his professional career and hang up his boots. The player decided to do so exhausted from recurring injuries. The footballer's most famous achievement is becoming the 2014 World Cup champion, when he made an assist in the final match that Mario Gotze scored the winning goal. For the past four years, he belonged to the Dortmund "Borussia" club, but was loaned to London's "Fulham" and Moscow's "Spartak" teams until becoming a free agent this year.
