A new player has joined Kaunas district FC "Hegelmann” – Nikola Djoričius, who plays as a central defender. The 24-year-old footballer will wear jersey number 4.
N. Djoričius is moving to Kaunas district from the Austrian Bundesliga. Last season, the newcomer was part of the Klagenfurt "Austria” team. N. Djoričius played 12 matches in the Austrian Bundesliga and 2 cup matches for "Austria”.
"Hegelmann”’s newcomer began his career at Belgrade’s "Rad” club. In 2019, he signed a professional contract with this club but was later loaned to Pančevo’s "Železničar” and Belgrade’s "Sindelić” teams.
N. Djoričius played his first matches with the main "Rad” team in 2020. Throughout two full seasons in the Serbian SuperLiga, the newcomer has recorded 40 matches and 1 goal.
In the summer of 2022, N. Djoričius attracted the interest of the Austrian Bundesliga's Klagenfurt club. He played 12 matches for this team and was loaned out to the Croatian top league team HNK Šibenik for the second part of the season. He finished the season having played 14 matches.
Besides N. Djoričius, "Hegelmann” has also added Dutch representative Jonathan Mulder, midfielder from Ivory Coast Harouna Abdoul Samada, Frenchman Yanis Azouazi, and Brazilian Wesley this year.
The blue and whites will play their first friendly match this Saturday in Vilnius against the Baltic Football Academy team. The match will start at 12:15 PM at BFA Arena.
