Former "Milan" and London's "Chelsea" striker Andriy Shevchenko believes that Real Madrid's goalkeeper Luka Modric deserves a place in history.
The 40-year-old now coaches the Ukrainian national team, and in his time even won the "Ballon d'Or", so he certainly knows what it takes to become the best.
His proteges will play against Modric-led Croats in a World Cup qualifier on Monday.
"I would like everything to go well for us," Shevchenko told Goal.com.
"I want to say that Croatia is a good team with very talented players."
"Having one of the best goalkeepers of all time in Luka Modric and in attack relying on Mandzukic, Kalinic, Kovacic... it's a strong team."
"We have to be very well prepared and take advantage of our opportunities. I think Ukraine has good chances. We are very strong at home."
Since 2012, Modric has played almost 150 games in the ranks of "Real".
