The decision of the Vilnius team "Žalgiris" to invite the recently playing in Russia forward Nardinas Mulahusejnovičius is causing controversy.
Journalist and public figure Andrius Tapinas strongly criticized this step by the A League vice champions.
"The Vilnius city municipality allocates about a million euros of the residents' money per year for our football pride "FK Žalgiris Vilnius". "Žalgiris" decides to sign a contract and pay salary to the Bosnian Nardinas Mulahuseinovičius, who played very well last year in the Russian league, at the "Dynamo" club in the war-torn Dagestan region of Makhachkala.
Nardinas himself has publicly said: "Playing in Russia is a step forward for me. I can say that in Bosnia they are very proud that I will play in the Russian championship".
Now the "ex-Makhachkala" player will already be wearing the green and white striped shirt with the Columns of Gediminas. To me, this seems like a tragically bad decision. I wonder what "Pietų 4" thinks about this - wrote A. Tapinas.
