Poor results are forcing the owners of London's "Arsenal" to start thinking about changes.
The English press reports that one of them, Alisher Usmanov, has decided to take over the management of the club and tried to buy 67% of Stan Kroenke's shares for 1 billion pounds sterling.
Although the American rejected this offer, negotiations are not over yet - the amount could rise to 1.3 billion pounds sterling.
In recent seasons, the wealthy owners do not agree on the vision for the "Arsenal" club - S. Kroenke is not willing to make large expenditures and the team cannot dream of triumph in both the Premier League and the UEFA Champions League tournaments.
It is Usmanov who would like to make a significant financial injection, but successful negotiations for the purchase of shares are necessary for that.
