A. Usmanov sells shares in London's "Arsenal" club

Russian businessman and billionaire Alisher Usmanov is selling shares of the London "Arsenal" football club to American entrepreneur Stanley Kroenke, who owns the American football team "Los Angeles Rams", NBA team "Denver Nuggets", NHL ice hockey team "Colorado Avalanche" and football team "Colorado Rapids", according to lrytas.lt.

"I decided to sell the team's shares, which could become the best club team in the world. I wish success to this team and to everyone involved with this club," - said the 64-year-old A. Usmanov, who is associated with Russian President Vladimir Putin and originally from Uzbekistan.

It should be noted that the businessman from Uzbekistan himself wanted to buy all the London team's shares from the American, but each time the American responded with a firm "no". Now there are rumors that A. Usmanov has set his sights on another English team - Liverpool's "Everton" and would like to acquire its shares.

It is said that in support of the "Everton" team last season, A. Usmanov transferred 92.8 million US dollars.
