One of the most famous Chilean footballers of all time, Arturo Vidal, remembered his career stage in Europe. Currently playing in Brazil, the defender had previously played for clubs such as Barcelona, Juventus, Inter, and Bayern.
As the 36-year-old veteran claimed, he was particularly struck by the matches against Madrid's Real, as his team always had a special status among referees in the Spanish league and Europe.
"I sometimes get confused in the matches where scandalous things were recorded. Against Real, I experienced so much injustice throughout my career that I would even forget the details.
My teams were often disadvantaged," complained A. Vidal about the referees' work.
He also compared two famous defensive midfielders - Casemiro and Sergio Busquets.
"Without a doubt, Busquets is better because usually, in that position in the team, the player knows how to control the rhythm, has special technique, and handles the ball properly. Casemiro doesn't do these things, so I choose S. Busquets."
