After rumors that he could become Sam Allardyce's successor in the England national team, Arsene Wenger swore loyalty to the London "Arsenal" club.
In the upcoming matches, the "Three Lions" team will be led by U-21 national team strategist Gareth Southgate, but the search for a new manager has already begun.
If Wenger were to take over, it would mark the end of his 20-year career with the "Gunners."
"What happened is a huge surprise. Who could have predicted this 48 hours ago? Nobody, but English football is always full of surprises," the Frenchman said.
"Look, of course (I am excited - ed.), but my priority has always been this club. I am here until the end of the season, so I am focused solely on that."
"I have said many times that my priority is 'Arsenal,' and I will be able to assess how things are going at the end of the season."
The North London club, extending its unbeaten run to eight games, finally looks ready to compete for the most prestigious trophies this season.
