A. Wenger: M. Ozil is Missing S. Cazorla

The head coach of London's Arsenal, Arsene Wenger, is convinced that the Gunners' fans could see Mesut Ozil in his best athletic form if Santi Cazorla were in the midfield.

The attacking midfielder demonstrated excellent athletic form at the beginning of this season, scoring one of the most beautiful goals of the season in the UEFA Champions League against Ludogorets. However, in recent months, the German's athletic form has declined, leading to poor results for the Gunners.

Wenger is convinced that we could see the usual M. Ozil if S. Cazorla could play alongside him, who is likely to miss matches this season due to injury.

"Ozil is a guy who loves to have the ball, and when the team plays with ball possession, he is a wonderful footballer," said Ozil. "He suffered a lot when we lost Cazorla."

"Santi plays deep in the midfield and spends a lot of time with the ball, giving us extra control. Cazorla was always looking for a player higher up to pass the ball to. Usually, it was Ozil, who, after receiving the ball at the right time, always tried to cause trouble for the opponents.

Last year he had made 17 or 18 assists, but this season the stats have decreased. But as I said, these numbers dropped because we don't have anyone in the midfield who can control the ball like Cazorla," added Wenger.
