A. Wenger: M. Ozil won't leave in winter, but anything can happen after the season

The chief coach of Arsenal in London, Arsene Wenger, does not intend to speculate with rumors and immediately pointed out that in the winter the two most prominent stars of the team - Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez - will not leave.

In the media, there has been talk for a long time about the future of these two footballers. Both of their contracts with Arsenal expire in the summer of 2018. It is realistic that the Gunners will not earn a penny from these stars, as A. Wenger is not willing to sell them this winter, so in the summer they will become free agents.

M. Ozil is linked to two clubs - Barcelona and Manchester United. However, the German, due to good memories at Real Madrid, is not inclined to join the ranks of the biggest rivals, so the most likely next stop in his career is Manchester.

When asked how close M. Ozil is to a new contract, A. Wenger replied: "How close? I really don't know."

"We have never received any offer from Man Utd for Mesut, so I don't know where these speculations have come from. This is a story that someone made up. Mesut will definitely stay in the club at least until the end of the season."

"Both Alexis and Mesut will stay. It's hard for me to answer this question to you, as I do not individually study each player's future. I hope and want both to stay as long as possible," added the strategist.
