London's "Arsenal" manager Arsene Wenger admits that last year's team leader Alexis Sanchez started this season sluggishly.
In the 2014-15 season, the Chilean scored 25 goals in all competitions and often carried the whole team behind him.
This summer, after helping his national team triumph in the "Copa America" tournament, Sanchez has not yet found himself upon his return to the club. Despite having the most shots in the entire Premier League, the forward has not yet been able to stand out.
When asked if Alexis started the season worse than expected, Wenger replied: "I would agree with you."
"I started him too early in the season. History shows that after winning important trophies, it can be difficult to get going. However, Alexis Sanchez will recover, and I am not worried about him."
This weekend, the "Gunners" will play away against the still undefeated "Leicester City."
