A. Wenger: Walcott returns to the team, but Debuchy may leave

Preparing for the FA Cup match against Southampton, Arsenal coach Arsene Wenger revealed that Theo Walcott has returned to training. The winger has been out of action since the end of December due to a calf injury, but could return to the pitch this weekend.

"Walcott has returned to the team. Xhaka is suspended, and Elneny is participating in the African Cup of Nations," Wenger said. "Per Mertesacker and Mathieu Debuchy will start training at full strength tomorrow."

However, the coach hinted that the French full-back Debuchy could leave the Gunners this month. "For now, it's quiet, but I don't close the door (on Debuchy's departure), because there is strong competition on the right side," Wenger added.

"I don't close the door, he is now fully ready to gain playing experience."

Arsenal has won their last five FA Cup matches played away from home, but Claude Puel's Southampton side have already knocked out the Gunners from the EFL Cup this season.
