London's "Arsenal" coach Arsene Wenger believes that Thierry Henry is one of the best footballers he has ever seen. The strategist also thanked the Frenchman for his contribution to the past successes of the "gunners."
The 37-year-old player, who spent the last four years with the New York "Red Bulls," announced his retirement earlier this week. Henry will now serve as a football expert for Sky Sports.
The "Arsenal" forward helped the team win two "Premier" League trophies and three FA Cups, and the Frenchman is the club's all-time top scorer, scoring 228 goals in 377 matches.
"He had an incredible career, and I would like to take this opportunity to thank him for everything he has done for the club," Wenger said.
"He was a combination of physical talent and intelligence. He is one of the best footballers I have ever seen,"
