London's "Arsenal" coach Arsene Wenger, after the failure against "Chelsea", insisted on believing in the psychological resilience of his players.
In Wenger's opinion, nothing went well for the "Gunners" today, as they tried everything they could, but the strong opponents simply took advantage of it.
Another loss for "Arsenal" almost eliminated them from the race for the "Premier League" title, as the "aristocrats" are now trailing their opponents of the day by 12 points.
"We were set up correctly, but our most experienced players did not play as well as they could. The team gave everything until the end, but lacked a bit of maturity in creating attacks," Wenger told Sky Sports.
"They looked stronger, but that impression is created when your team is trying to make 10 passes to make it dangerous, and the other team is playing on counterattacks."
"They have strong players, and the second goal was a great example of that."
"We are psychologically resilient, I have no doubt about that. It's just that today everything turned against us. I think when the first goal was scored, we made a tactical mistake, and we were naive regarding the second one."
"Then we tried to get back into the game, but five attackers in the area left us vulnerable to counterattacks."
"We have to accept it (the result) and prepare for the next (game)."
Asked about "Arsenal's" hopes of becoming English champions, Wenger did not want to comment on the situation.
