"Arsenal" strategist Arsene Wenger praised his students after winning the London derby. Yesterday they defeated "Chelsea" footballers 3-0.
"The Gunners" have not beaten their Saturday opponents in the "Premier" league since October 2011, and they had finished the previous six matches without any goals.
However, yesterday Antonio Conte's army had no chances and were punished by precise shots from Alexis Sanchez, Theo Walcott, and Mesut Ozil.
"I am very happy," - Wenger told BT Sport. "Uncomfortable facts were constantly mentioned, and we needed to change the recent history. We did it stylishly and firmly. That's what we wanted."
"We were dedicated and disciplined, and in such matches maintaining balance is not that easy. In general, I think our rhythm was good and caused them problems."
"We want to play exactly this kind of football - based on technical skills and speed. I hope these performances will convince the players that they are on the right path. We can still improve."
During the interview, Wenger highlighted the excellent performance of the central defenders duo Shkodran Mustafi and Laurent Koscielny. The Frenchman also revealed that Francis Coquelin, who was forced to leave the field, injured his knee in the same place where he had a previous injury last season. However, the coach hopes that this time the rehabilitation process will be shorter.
