Arsene Wenger admitted that his London-based team "Arsenal" is unlikely to acquire Leicester City forward Jamie Vardy.
The future of the English national team member has been widely discussed recently, as the "Gunners" agreed to pay the £20 million buyout clause specified in his contract.
The striker did not want to make a decision about his career until EURO 2016, but now it seems that he will stay at his current club after all.
"At the moment, Jamie Vardy is in Leicester," Wenger told Tencent Sports. "Based on the information I have, he will stay there."
The Englishman, who shone this season with 24 goals and eight assists in 36 Premier League matches.
