After a scandalous investigation by journalists, Sam Allardyce resigned from the position of the England national team coach yesterday.
The strategist, who led the team for only a few matches, lost his job after it was revealed following a secret journalistic investigation that S. Allardyce had been able to help businessmen "circumvent" FA rules introduced in 2008 for 400 thousand euros.
The England national team is now without a coach, so a list of candidates has already appeared in the press. Among the contenders is Arsene Wenger, who coaches London's Arsenal club.
Also among the candidates mentioned are Alan Pardew, Gary Neville, Steve Bruce, and Gareth Southgate.
It is realistic that S. Bruce will take over as the national team coach. He was the one who competed with S. Allardyce for a place in the national team, and the coach is currently unemployed.
