London's "Arsenal" coach Arsène Wenger assures that he has no doubts about the attitude of Alex Sanchez, who barely missed out on "Manchester City".
The star of the "Gunners", who escaped the field just once in hopeless lost matches against "Liverpool", was constantly linked to a transfer to Manchester, where Pep Guardiola awaited him with open arms.
However, London's club did not manage to acquire a replacement for the Chilean, so he stayed in the team, although his contract expires next summer.
"I have no doubts about Alex's mentality," Wenger said at a press conference.
"People question that, but he needs to return to optimal physical form. He wasn't ready for the match against 'Liverpool', it was his first game."
"He is psychologically strong and we hope he will return to his best form very quickly."
Last season Sanchez was the undisputed leader of Arsenal, scoring 30 goals and making 19 assists in all competitions.
It seems that the forward himself promises to focus on the "Gunners", sharing a photo on Instagram with red socks and a caption about returning home and concentration.
