St. Petersburg "Zenit" defender Axel Witsel has rejected offers from Premier League clubs and will move to Serie A, where Turin's "Juventus" is interested in his services.
According to the English newspaper "Daily Mirror", the Belgian is also wanted by London's "Chelsea" and Liverpool's "Everton", but the player himself prefers to play in Italy.
Speculations about his departure have been circulating for over a year, and intensified after Zenit's head coach Andre Villas Boas left his post.
Now it seems that this transfer will definitely happen in the near future and Witsel will become a member of the "bianconeri". Juventus director Giuseppe Marotta recently spoke about the interest in Witsel.
The defender's contract with the Russian club will expire next summer, so he will be able to sign a pre-contract with a new team next month.
