In France, the XXXVIth round of the "Ligue 1" championship matches were played on Friday and Saturday.
The gap from the championship leaders PSG was reduced to 4 points by the "Marseille" team, who defeated the "Toulouse" football players at home with a score of 2 - 1. Both goals for the winners were scored by forward Andre Ayew.
On Friday, the "Lille" team did not spare their opponents, crushing the "Reims" club 3 - 0. Former "Chelsea" defender Salomon Kalou scored two goals, while Dmitri Payet added one.
Last season's league champions "Montpellier" remain in 8th place, as on Saturday they suffered a 1 - 3 defeat away against the "Bastia" football players.
"Bordeaux" moved up to 7th place, defeating the "Nancy" team in a dramatic match with a score of 3 - 2.
On Sunday evening, the central match of the round will be played between the teams of "Lyon" and "Paris St.Germain". A victory for the latter team would secure the title of "Ligue 1" champions.
