On Sunday, the second round of the "Serie A" finished. AC Milan secured a convincing victory at home, beating Cagliari 4-1. All goals were scored in the first half, with Sandro Tonali putting the hosts ahead in the 12th minute, but just three minutes later Alessandro Deiola equalized with a precise shot. AC Milan regained the lead a couple of minutes later, with Brahim Diaz finding the back of the net, and Olivier Giroud sealed the hosts' victory with two goals.
José Mourinho's Roma also achieved an easy victory away from home, crushing Salernitana 4-0. The winners got goals from Lorenzo Pellegrini, Jordan Veretout, and Tammy Abraham.
