Ghanaian football star Asamoah Gyan has recently experienced a difficult period in his life. The 28-year-old striker was involved in the ritualistic murder case.
In the Ghanaian media, incredible rumors surfaced after rapper Castro and his girlfriend Janet Bandu disappeared without a trace while on vacation with A. Gyan's family.
It is said that the couple disappeared in July while jet-skiing. Rescuers failed to find their bodies and soon a version of ritualistic murder appeared in the media.
To avoid interfering with the police investigation, members of A. Gyan's family only spoke out now. Gyan's lawyer Kissi Agyabeng stated that such allegations are absurd.
"These unfounded suspicions were not supported by any evidence. The Gyan family cannot be blamed for the disappearance of Castro and J. Bandu," Agyabeng said.
According to him, Castro and J. Bandu went jet-skiing and never returned. Reportedly, J. Bandu was not wearing a life jacket.
A. Gyan currently plays for the club "Al-Ain" in the United Arab Emirates. In the past, the former captain of the Ghana national team played in Italy, France, and England.
