UEFA President Aleksander Čeferin talked about the use of the VAR system in tournaments organized by the organization.
However, football fans will not see video reviews during the matches in the near future.
"Looking at the current situation, it doesn't seem like it will happen anytime soon," the leader said.
It is said that the VAR system will be tested during the UEFA Super Cup match in Istanbul on August 14, 2019.
If everything goes according to plan, reviews will be used in the knockout stages of the 2019/2020 Champions League. In 2020, the VAR system will also debut in the Europa League.
"There are still uncertainties about VAR, but at the moment it is clear that there is no turning back," said Čeferin.
