Brazil's Adriano terminated his contract with and returns to his homeland, where he will represent the "Corinthians" club.
The 29-year-old footballer joined the ranks of the Italian capital's team last summer, but failed to fit in and played a more episodic role.
"I am a fighter, so "Corinthians" will not regret this decision. I am coming not to cause problems, but to score goals," the striker told the daily newspaper "Folha de Sao Paulo."
"I saw no reason to stay in Rome. I had experienced an injury, played irregularly, and took it as a sign to return to Brazil. I know what I can do, so I have to work hard and reach a good sporting form."
In the Italian "Serie A" championship, Adriano played only five matches and did not score any goals.
