Brazilian national team striker Adriano stated on Sunday that he is staying at the Milan club despite speculation that this summer the Brazilian could leave the club.

"I will not leave Inter, but I am happy to hear that many other clubs would like to buy me," said the 24-year-old player. "Inter fans, as well as the club president, like me. That's why today I am at Inter."

Adriano had a poor last season with Inter, and he also participated in the World Cup with the Brazilian national team, scoring 2 goals. However, Brazil lost the world champions trophy they won four years ago, falling in the quarterfinals to the competition's final opponent, the French team.

Now the striker is determined to regain his best form and prove himself at San Siro: "When the Italian championship starts, I want to be the Adriano that fans knew before - the 'Emperor'."

Adriano also commented on why he was not released onto the field from the beginning of the Brazil-France match that ended with a 0-1 result: "Of course, I wanted to play. It was sad that I couldn't have the opportunity to play against France, but I respect the coach's decision."

This summer, the candidate for the presidency of Real Madrid, Lorenzo Sanzas, showed great interest in the player, but since he did not win the election, the connection with the striker was cut off.

Inter finished third in the Italian championship last season, but since Juventus lost the trophy twice in a row and was demoted to Serie B, and Milan is also entangled in a corruption scandal, it might be that Inter will be the team to receive last year's Italian championship gold.
