On December 23, Ibrahim Afellay, arriving in Barcelona, will finish negotiating the details of his personal contract, will be checked by doctors, and, it is believed, will be presented as a football player the next day. This was reported by the official website of the Catalan club.
The new member of "Barca" still has two matches left to play with his current team. On December 19, PSV Eindhoven will play a home match with Kerkrade's "Roda" in the Dutch championship. That day, Afellay is also expected to bid farewell to the team's fans at the "Phillips" stadium.
Three days later, on December 22, PSV will again play against "Roda," but this time - away. These will be matches of the Dutch cup tournament.
The next day, Afellay will arrive in Barcelona. It is planned that an agreement on the conditions of the personal contract with the player will be reached quickly, so the same day his health will be checked and Afellay will become a full member of Barcelona. His license, as planned, will come into force on January 1, 2011, when the so-called transfer window for football players will open in Europe.
Both clubs - "Barcelona" and PSV - have already agreed on the player's transfer and officially announced it on November 15.
