Coach Sir Alex Ferguson is asking the English Football Association to investigate two incidents that occurred during the highly anticipated match between the "Red Devils" and the defending champion football players.

According to A. Ferguson, "Arsenal" forward Dennis Bergkamp tried to hit Manchester team player Alan Smith. The Scottish strategist also recalled an episode in which he claims to have seen London club player Thierry Henry attempting to strike his protege Gabriel Heinze.

The referee Michael Riley did not notice either of these episodes. He also did not see the rough R. van Nistelrooy's tackle on Ashley Cole, which resulted in the latter suffering a leg injury. However, after studying the episode, the football association banned the Dutchman for three matches.

However, this statement is unlikely to be investigated, as protests must be filed within 48 hours after the end of the match.
