After a red card, "Newcastle" felt the power of the "Leicester" team.

On Sunday evening, the ninth round matches of the English Premier League were played.

Leicester City hosted Newcastle at their stadium. After an unsuccessful first half, the "Sharks" were "bombarded" in the second half - suffering a heavy 5-0 defeat.

Leicester took the initiative from the first minutes. In the 16th minute, the hosts gained the advantage when Ricardo Pereira finished his run with a goal from about 18 meters.

At the end of the first half, an episode occurred that finally crushed Newcastle's hopes of salvaging the match - for a reckless foul, Newcastle defender Isaac Hayden was sent off the field.

In the second half, Newcastle put on a show for their fans - Jamie Vardy extended the lead in the 54th minute, and just three minutes later Paulo Dummett scored an own goal, increasing the lead for the hosts.

The opponents from Newcastle were sent further into despair in the 64th minute when J. Vardy scored another goal. The final blow came at the end of the match - Wilfred Ndidi ended the opponent's suffering.

With this decisive victory, the "Foxes" climb to the 3rd position in the league table. Brendan Rodgers' pupils, with 14 points, are just 2 points behind the Man City players.

On the other hand, Newcastle, with four losses, are at the bottom of the league table in 19th place.
