After ending his career, M. Arteta became one of P. Guardiola's assistants

Former "Arsenal" captain Mikel Arteta today confirmed that he has ended his football career and announced that he has become one of Pep Guardiola's assistants within the ranks of "Manchester City".

Last season, Arteta, plagued by injuries, played only nine matches in the "Premier" league, and he announced his planned career end immediately after the season ended. Today, the Spaniard officially confirmed that his career is over, and now a new chapter awaits him in his life - a coaching job in the "Manchester City" team.

"I can confirm that I am leaving the 'Arsenal' club and ending my player career and joining the coaching staff of 'Manchester City'. The opportunity to join Pep Guardiola and his team was an amazing opportunity for me and I am excited about my future," the Spaniard wrote on Twitter.

Starting his football career in the "Barcelona" academy, Arteta never made his debut in the main "Barca" team. During his 17-year career, the Spaniard also represented clubs such as "Everton", "Arsenal", "Paris Saint-Germain", "Real Sociedad", and "Rangers".
