There is no shortage of scandals in French football.
The president of the French Football Federation (FFF), Noël Le Graet, commented yesterday on the country's football legend Zinedine Zidane in a way that sparked a lot of reactions. Both Kylian Mbappe, Djibril Cisse, and Franck Ribery expressed their opinions on social media.
The federation president said: "Will Zidane coach Brazil? That's not my concern. If Zidane were to call me? I don't think I would even pick up the phone."
"If you want Zidane to find a new team or club, prepare a special program for him," - said N. Le Graet.
Meanwhile, K. Mbappe stood by the former defender's side.
"Zidane is France, you can't disrespect a legend like that," - wrote the current French football star.
This post received a lot of support. Former "Les Blues" player Djibril Cisse also reacted to the president's words. The former striker showed his reaction.
Zidane c’est la France, on manque pas de respect à la légende comme ça… 🤦🏽♂️
