Josip Ilicic fought with severe depression in 2022, but the Slovenian forward finally returned to the pitch.
Now playing for "Maribor" club, the striker stood out in victorious club matches, where they managed to beat the well-known to Lithuanians "NS Mura" team 5:1.
J. Ilicic scored from the penalty spot in the 89th minute of the match.
Before that, this year the Slovenian played his only match on January 9th, when he briefly appeared against "Empoli" while representing the "Atalanta" team.
In the Slovenian championship, Ljubljana's "Olimpija" leads quite confidently. The legendary "Maribor" club is in seventh place.
