On Tuesday, the Lithuanian media reports that the alcohol producer "Alita" expects to acquire 100% of the shares of the company "Daivalda" by April 10. The latter belongs to the owner of "FC Vilnius" Algimantas Breikštas and manages the main sponsor of the club "Vilkmergės alus".
However, even after selling this company related to football, A. Breikštas will remain in football.
"This year, nothing is really changing," said the president of "Vilnius" on EuroFootball.com. "As a sponsor, 'Vilkmergės alus' will remain, but there will also be new sponsors."
"I do not intend to spend more time on football after selling the company. I already dedicate too much time to it," said A. Breikštas and added that he definitely does not regret it.
"FC Vilnius" finished seventh in the Lithuanian "A Lyga" last season, accumulating 47 points.
