Madrid's "Real" team won the UEFA Champions League tournament for the third consecutive year, but the biggest star of the team, Cristiano Ronaldo, mysteriously hinted about his future after the final whistle.
On Saturday evening in Kiev, in the Champions League final, Madrid's "Real" team defeated "Liverpool" with a score of 3-1 after a tough match. Cristiano Ronaldo did not score a goal - one was added by Karim Benzema, and the other two were scored by Gareth Bale.
C. Ronaldo, who has been playing in Madrid since 2009, mysteriously told journalists in an interview that "playing in this club was good."
"I will talk about my future in the coming days. It was wonderful to play all these years in the "Real" club," the Portuguese dropped a "bomb" on live television.
However, soon C. Ronaldo slightly changed his opinion and stated that his future is not the most important now - it will be clear after the World Cup: "We will see how it goes. Now the most important thing is to enjoy the historic triumph of "Real."
Asked about the final itself, the Portuguese replied: "From the very beginning, we knew that we were better than "Liverpool." I think we deserved to win."
It is believed that C. Ronaldo said these words not accidentally, as his relationship with the team's president Florentino Perez is not the best. Perez had promised to offer him a new and more lucrative contract right after last year's final, but the president did not fulfill his promise.
