Jose Mourinho's Istanbul "Fenerbahce" on Thursday continued without victories in the UEFA Europa League, leaving his former team "Manchester United" behind. The match in Turkey ended in a draw - 3:3.
However, the Portuguese himself finished the match in the stands after receiving a straight red card in the 57th minute.
The "Fenerbahce" coach was very unhappy when Bright Osayi-Samuel fell in the penalty area, and the match referee Clement Turpin clearly indicated that a penalty would not be awarded. This decision by the Frenchman was confirmed by VAR.
After the match, J. Mourinho had criticisms for the match referee regarding this decision.
"The referee told us something incredible. He said that at the same moment he saw both the potential penalty situation and my behavior on the bench.
I want to congratulate him because he is unbelievable. The referee has incredible peripheral vision. That's probably why he is one of the best referees in the world," J. Mourinho said sarcastically.
