Yesterday in the Premier League match between Chelsea and Tottenham, a conflict between coaches occurred, which fans of this league had not seen in a long time. The clash between Arsene Wenger and Jose Mourinho was reminiscent in the altercation between Thomas Tuchel and Antonio Conte. The coaches clashed already after the first Tottenham equalizing goal - 1:1. The conflict did not last long, as members of the coaching staffs and substitutes calmed the emotions. In extra time, the penalties once again leveled the score - 2:2. Soon after the final whistle of the referees, the team's strategists shook hands, but Tuchel was upset that Conte did not look him in the eye.
The German firmly grabbed the Italian's hand, and the latter was surprised. Tuchel's cap brim touched Conte's head and the conflict subsided. However, no physical action was taken. After the match, Chelsea's coach said: "When you shake hands, you should look each other in the eye. Antonio had a different opinion."
Meanwhile, Antonio Conte shared the following message on his Instagram profile: "You were lucky that I didn't see you. If I had taken you down, it would have been completely deserved." The Italian was referring to Thomas Tuchel's impressive celebration after the second "aristocrats'" goal. Both men received red cards after the second conflict.
