"Tottenham" and "Brentford" match was one of the most intense in this season of the English Premier League.

Provocations started from the very beginning by Brentford striker Neal Maupay, who, after scoring a goal, mimicked James Maddison's goal celebration. Shortly after, he grabbed the Englishman and whispered something in his ear.

In the first half, the Frenchman continued to irritate Tottenham players, but in the second half, everything turned around.

The hosts' team quickly turned the score around and then responded with a goal celebration by N. Maupay.

Ultimately, Brentford did not escape - they lost 2-3 in the city derby.

After the match, Maddison commented on the situation: "Maupay has not scored enough goals in his career to have his own signature goal celebration, so he had to copy mine."

Other Tottenham players mocked the Brentford striker on social media.

The arrogant Frenchman had his response: "I was a bit ahead of the events. It's a shame we couldn't secure the victory. However, I have more goals and fewer falls (out of the league) in my career than James Maddison. We'll try again on Monday, bees."
