U.S. President Donald Trump's decision to impose massive tariffs on countries around the world has shaken the football world.
As reported by the BBC, this decision is already causing concern among both FIFA and IOC leaders.
In the near future, the U.S. will host two major sporting events - in 2026 it will co-organize the World Cup with Mexico and Canada, and in 2028, it will host the Los Angeles Olympic Games.
Appalled by Trump's decision, a number of major sponsors, including South Korean car manufacturer Hyundai Group, intend to withdraw from the upcoming events.
"I think sponsors are already reevaluating their options to be involved in these events in the U.S.," said expert John Zerafa.
