Gareth Bale is identified as one of the main candidates to leave the Madrid "Real" team this summer, but it seems that the player himself would like to stay in the royal club.
It was expected that the 29-year-old Welsh national team footballer would become the new leader of "Real" after Cristiano Ronaldo left the team, but G. Bale was far from able to compensate for the loss of the Portuguese.
G. Bale has a valid contract with "Real" until 2022, and his agent Jonathan Barnett stated that his client would like to continue his career in Madrid.
"Bale wants to stay in the ranks of Real. I'm not sure if Zidane wants that, but at the moment Gareth is ready to stay.
He has a good contract and there would be nothing wrong with staying until its end. Bale was and, in my opinion, still among the three or four best players in the world.
Of course, this is just an opinion, and Mr. Zidane has a slightly different one. This is his opinion and I am not going to criticize it," G. Bale's agent said in an interview with "Sky Sports".
J. Barnett also admitted that Premier League clubs would have to spend a significant amount if they wanted to see his client in their ranks.
"Such a scenario is possible if someone pulls out the required amount of money from their pocket, which Gareth is worth. It should be a very large sum!" J. Barnett added.
G. Bale played 42 matches for "Real" this season and scored 14 goals.
