Gareth Bale's agent stated that his client had no intentions of returning to London's Tottenham this winter.
Despite G. Bale not playing much this season, he continues to be linked to a move away from Real Madrid through various media channels. However, as his agent reiterated, the footballer is happy in the Spanish capital.
"No, there were no offers. Perhaps Daniel Levy (Tottenham chairman) visited Madrid, but I have no connection to that," said Jonathan Barnett.
"Gareth is happy where he is - in Madrid. We have to be realistic: many clubs are not in his financial league.
It's easy to say that he would throw everything and go play somewhere else. It's not all about money. He has adapted to his way of life in Madrid, where he has grown up and where his children are," said the agent.
Asked if Tottenham could still become a potential destination for G. Bale, J. Barnett added: "I don't think so. He is in a very good position. When his contract with Real ends (in 2022), I hope we will sit down at the table and decide what to do next."
