The agent of Argentine Javier Mascherano, who is playing for "Barcelona" club, says that the team interested in acquiring the football player is "Napoli".
It is said that J. Mascherano is not satisfied in Barcelona, as he constantly has to play in the position of center-back, which became common for him since moving to the "Barcelona" club.
The coach of "Napoli," Rafael Benitez, and the Argentine national team defender have previously worked together at "Liverpool" club.
"Benitez would like to acquire Mascherano and is considering various possibilities. Why does he want to leave 'Barca'? The club informed him that he will not play in the center, so this could be an important factor in choosing his next career move," said Mascherano's agent Bernardo Bovarone.
"Javier feels that he plays better in the center, so he wants to play in the position of a defender."
"Benitez talks to Mascherano frequently. From Benitez's side, there is interest and he does not promise to give up," confirmed the football player's representative.
