Agent of the 28-year-old footballer Sebastiano Giovinco revealed that his client attracted the interest of the strongest European club of the past season, "Barcelona".
Since the beginning of 2015, the Italian has been playing in the MLS championship, defending the honor of the "Toronto" club. The forward from across the Atlantic manages to demonstrate good athletic form and has scored 24 goals in 34 games played so far.
The footballer's agent also admitted that he was surprised by the attention of "Barca" to his client, as after moving to Canada, the "little ant" was forgotten by famous European clubs.
"There was interest, but not very significant," - said Andrea D'Amico when asked by journalists if S. Giovinco could move to "Camp Nou".
"It was a bit surprising, because after leaving Europe, clubs of such level did not show interest in Sebastiano. My client looks dismissively at the attention of other clubs and is currently focused on "Toronto", - concluded the agent.
