During the XXXIII round of the Dutch Eredivisie championship matches that took place on Sunday, the country's champions were revealed.
The team of Amsterdam "Ajax", coached by Frank de Boer, became the champions with a 1-1 draw against "Hercules" club in an away game. This point was enough to secure the title of country champions.
In second place, four points behind the champions before the last round, is "Feyenoord" team. In third place remains "Twente", and in fourth place is "PSV" club.
"I am proud of my team. It wasn't the most beautiful match, but in the end we secured the title," said F. De Boer.
"We won almost all direct opponents, so we became champions deservedly," - added F. De Boer.
This is the 33rd Dutch champion title in the history of the Amsterdam "Ajax" club.
