Amsterdam's "Ajax" has made a decision after an unsuccessful season.
The club thanked John Heitinga for his work. The new club's sporting director, Sven Mislintat, explained the decision and stated that the Dutchman accepted everything very professionally.
"Ajax" will not play in the Champions League next season and will have to settle for the Europa League qualification.
The team from the capital of the Netherlands finished third in the Eredivisie.
However, the situation was already complicated before J. Heitinga's arrival. Alfred Schreuder had a poor start to the season with the Amsterdam team.
Ajax has let John Heitinga know that the club will start its search for a new head coach for Ajax 1.
