"Ajax" started the Europa League semi-final by crushing "Lyon" (VIDEO)

On yesterday evening in Amsterdam, the first UEFA Europa League semi-final match between the local clubs "Ajax" and "Lyon" has already been played.

The Dutch representatives found themselves in this stage of the tournament by a hairbreadth, but put on a great performance against their opponents from France.

After nearly 10 minutes, the visitors' forward Maxwell Cornet had a great chance to score, but his attempt was blocked by the goalkeeper, leading to more dangerous attacks by Peter Bosz's proteges.

"Ajax" took the lead when halfway through the first half Hakim Ziyech expertly converted a penalty, and Bertrand Traore capitalized on his header pass.

Within less than ten minutes, Traore himself accurately assisted Kasper Dolberg, and the result could have been 3-0 at halftime if Amin Younes had scored.

However, Younes scored his goal early in the second half, so the start of the French comeback did not have to wait long.

The excellent performance of the Dutch club was slightly tarnished by Lasse Schone's mistake, which led to Mathieu Valbuena scoring with a precise shot, but ultimately Ziyech made his third assist, which Traore converted.

Thus, the players of "Ajax" will go to Lyon with a convincing advantage.

The first leg of the second semi-final between "Manchester United" and "Celta Vigo" will take place tomorrow at 22:05 Lithuanian time.
