After the national team break, club football returned on Friday. The first match of the 13th round of the Spanish "La Liga" championship took place in Leganes province, near Madrid.
"Leganes" hosted "Deportivo Alaves" club from Vitoria, who had been playing well this season. The visitors could have taken the first position with a victory, but the hosts did not allow it - they celebrated a 1-0 victory.
The winning goal was scored at the end of the first half, when Youssef En Nesyri struck accurately into the net.
With their third victory, the "Leganes" club climbs to the 16th position. "Alaves" remains temporarily in fourth place with 23 points.
