The Sunday match of the Italian championship against Genoa's "Sampdoria" was special for Alessandro Del Piero - the veteran celebrated an impressive 17-year anniversary at the Turin club.
However, the team did not give him a victory - the match ended in a 3-3 draw.
"This day is incredibly special," said Del Piero. "Knowing what football is like, I am very happy with this milestone in my career.
"I am proud of my career. Furthermore, my wife Sonia is expecting our third child, so this period in our lives is wonderful."
In the Italian championship, Del Piero made his debut in 1993 when he turned 18. During this time, he won the national championship five times, the country's cup once, the super cup four times, and also won the European and intercontinental cup competitions once.
In all tournaments with Juventus, the striker played in over 630 matches and scored 274 goals.
