Alisson, who started the season in the English Premier League unsuccessfully due to injury, will have to miss the upcoming matches.
The 26-year-old Liverpool goalkeeper injured his calf in the match against Norwich and left the field at the end of the first half. He was replaced by Spanish goalkeeper Adrian, who became a club member just a week ago.
Liverpool confirmed immediately after the match that in the UEFA Super Cup match against Chelsea in London on Wednesday, they will have to play without their main goalkeeper.
"He won't be ready to play on Wednesday. I can say that right away," Jurgen Klopp said at a press conference.
"He felt pain in his calf. At first he thought someone had hit him in the back muscles," the manager added.
It is believed that the Brazilian may have to miss several weeks of matches.
