Captain Massimo Ambrosini has signed a new contract with the club and will represent them until the summer of 2012.

The defender was supposed to become a free agent this June, but followed the example of Alessandro Nesta, Filippo Inzaghi, Flavio Roma, Mark van Bommel, and Thiago Silva by tying his future to the Italian champions.

Ambrosini arrived in Milan in 1995 and represented the team more than 300 times.
