ontent team striker Adrian Mutu has been called up to the Romanian national football team for the World Cup qualifying matches.

Currently suspended for seven months for cocaine use and released from the London team, A.Mutu cannot play professionally yet. The striker's suspension will end on May 24th, when there is only one match left for Juventus in the Serie A.

Meanwhile, the head coach of the Romanian national team, Victor Piturca, stated: "Mutu is an important player for our team and he cannot miss important matches. He told me that he is in good shape, physically recovered, ready and very eager to play for Romania".

Romania will play against the Netherlands on June 4th, and their opponents on June 8th will be the Armenians.
